The coordinating unit of CRIN is based in London. We are a small team of four staff, but would not be able to achieve as much without the invaluable contribution of our volunteers and interns.
We are always interested in hearing from people who have some time and skills they would like to share with the team. As we are based in London, most of the opportunities will be for those based in London, however there are ways you can help if you are based elsewhere in the world. All you need is access to the internet and an email address.
Below is a list of some of the current roles that are open to volunteers:
- Translators (French, Spanish and Arabic) – Home based
Most of our services are in English, but increasingly, we provide information services in French , Spanish and Arabic . We know from our research that there is a huge demand for information on children’s rights into other languages. If you can spare a few hours a week or more to help us with translations in any of the above (or in Russian and Chinese as well), we would love to hear from you.
- Translators: Other languages
We are beginning to get some work translated into languages other than the four standard CRIN lanaguages. We are particularly interested in getting help with the following languages: Russian, Chinese and Portuguese. If you are able to help, even just an hour a week, please contact us.
- Web designers and/or graphic designers
We are looking for help from someone with experience of web development who can help with adding content to the site but also making suggestions for improving the site and adding new features.
We would also like to get help in designing publications and developing leaflets or other. We would love to hear from someone who has new ideas and would like to contribute to developing marketing materials for our members and other users.
- Open Source developers
- Photographers
We are always on the look out for artistic black and white photographs for our hard copy publication, ‘The Review’. If you have images which depict children as being active participants in shaping their own lives rather than as victims, please send them to info@crin.org. We are also interested in hearing from you if you are going somewhere where you will have the opportunity to take some good pictures. See examples of previous photos we have used here: http://www.crin.org/docs/CRIN_review_final.pdf
If you are interested in any of the above, please send your CV to: info@crin.org
